About Dr. Fischetti:
Physical Therapist - Orthopedic and Sports Performance Specialist
Dr. Marisa Fischetti is a physical therapist with a strong background in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, specializing in guiding patients through safe and effective return-to-sport and performance-based care. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from Syracuse University, where she competed as a Division I soccer athlete in the ACC, before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine.
Marisa has experience treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions and sports-related injuries, working with collegiate and professional athletes, post-operative patients, weekend warriors, and individuals with general orthopedic needs. Her clinical approach is deeply influenced by her firsthand experience as a high-level athlete who understands the frustration, uncertainty, and challenges of not being able to perform at full capacity, having personally navigated rehabilitation following two ACL reconstruction surgeries.
She emphasizes individualized, goal-driven rehabilitation shaped by her experience progressing through the return-to-sport process herself. Drawing from her experiences at a high-level sports rehabilitation facility in South Florida, Marisa integrates current evidence-based practice with hands-on rehabilitation, functional testing, progressive loading strategies, and performance-focused rehabilitation. Her approach is designed not only to restore strength and movement quality, but to optimize performance and help patients confidently return to the demands of sport and daily life.
Outside of the clinic, Marisa enjoys weightlifting, playing soccer, watching hockey, spending time at the beach, and trying new food spots with family and friends.
