About Amanda:

Amanda is a highly accomplished licensed medical provider and Professor at multiple universities. Amanda has served as the Director for Food and Nutrition for the City of Chicago Cook County Health Hospital Systems and worked with NFL athletes and injured veterans through the Wounded Warrior Project. She is a sought-after keynote speaker for tactical professionals, special forces, and intelligence agencies.

She holds appointments as an Associate Professor of Nutrition and Dietetic Preceptor at various institutions, and is an active member of several professional organizations in nutrition, public health, integrative medicine, and wellness coaching.

Amanda blends her experience with functional performance and higher education teaching for a unique nutrition therapy experience, ensuring patients learn what their individual bodies need for longevity using the latest science, technologies, and therapy. She has extensive experience with nutrition therapy to balance pharmacological interventions, physical therapy, and recent diagnoses.

About Dr. Motlong:

Physical Therapist - Orthopedic and Sports Performance Specialist

Dr. Evan Motlong is originally from Denver, Colorado. He had his first introduction to physical therapy as a patient dating back to his days as a basketball player in high school and college at Adams State University, located in Alamosa, CO. Dr. Motlong’s experience rehabbing his two knee surgeries has increased his compassion for his patients because he has been on the receiving end of the mental and physical strain that injury places on a person. After undergrad, Dr. Motlong pursued his doctorate degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Dr. Motlong graduated tops in his class and his ability to excel academically, in the clinic, and in the community led to him receiving the South Carolina PT Student of the Year Award.

Eager for opportunities to work with professional athletes, Dr. Motlong was accepted to a 4-month clinical rotation with EXOS, located in Carlsbad, CA. EXOS is one of the top sports-performance institutes in the world. While there, Evan was responsible for programming daily rehab routines for over 30 NFL combine athletes. In addition to working with NFL players, Dr. Motlong also has experience with several soccer players on the USWNT, pro tennis players, and retired NFL players. He also had the opportunity to engage in the sports performance side of EXOS, learning technical and biomechanical enhancements for sprinting and agility. This experience complimented Dr. Motlong’s passion of blending therapy with athletic performance.

Prior to joining ASR Sports Medicine, Dr. Motlong was working in Charlotte, NC at a sports performance center with high school, college, professional athletes, as well as active weekend warriors. Dr. Motlong has extensive experience working with everything from complex spine disorders and sciatica, post-surgical sports injuries, to orthopedic issues throughout the entire body.

Dr. Sterling Petersen is a chiropractor, entrepreneur, and visionary in the realm of natural healthcare. He earned his doctorate from Life West College of Chiropractic and a Bachelor of Science degree from CSU San Marcos.

About Dr. Arevalo:

Physical Therapist - Spine and Pelvic Floor Specialist, Running Specialist

Dr. Arevalo has over 10 years of experience as a physical therapist working with orthopedic and sports injuries, as well as patients with complex spine disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction. She has a passion and interest in treating pelvic, spine, and lower extremity disorders especially in runners. Her passion for treating running injuries led her to pursue her coaching license so she could help runners reach their goals safely while going through therapy and teaching them skills to be efficient runners for the long term.

Dr. Arevalo graduated with her Undergraduate and Doctorate Degree from the University of Miami. While an undergraduate at UM, she was a member of the track and cross country team for all 4 years. She also has a history of playing multiple sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer and swimming. Her passion and extensive history in competitive athletics inspired her to become a physical therapist so she could help others get back to doing what they love. She embodies a holistic and conservative approach to patient care, believing in hands-on, personalized treatment.

About Dr. Alexander:

Dr. Alexander is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist(OCS) whose 10+ years of experience includes working with a wide array of orthopedic, sports, and military-related injuries. He has a particular interest in treating spine and neck disorders. This interest led him to pursue advanced training, and eventually become credentialed, in the method of McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT).

Dr. Alexander also completed an Orthopedic Residency at Fort Stewart Army Base that specialized in manual therapy and treatment of orthopedic, sport, and tactical-based injuries. During his time in the residency, he was involved in collecting data for a randomized control trial investigating the effects of spinal manipulation on patients with sciatica. These credentials, combined with advanced training in spinal manipulation and dry needling, has led to Dr. Alexander being one of the most sought-after practitioners in South Florida for the conservative care of spine, orthopedic, and sports-related injuries. His experience ranges anywhere from working with celebrities, to business executives, to Special Forces military personnel and elite professional athletes.

Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Alexander graduated from Temple University with a B.S. in Kinesiology. While at Temple, he was a member of the Men’s Crew Team highlighted by winning the National Championship. He later obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami, graduating with honors. He has also been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2013.

About Dr. Feder:

Physical Therapist - Orthopedic and Sports Performance Specialist

Dr. Matt Feder graduated from the University of Central Florida with a pre-medical B.S. degree in Health Sciences. Dr. Feder later went on to the University of St. Augustine where he graduated as class Valedictorian with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. During his time at the University of St. Augustine, he was a member of the Delta Phi Tau Honor Society and the founding President of the Sports Special Interest Group.

Dr. Feder prides himself on providing excellence in orthopedic manual physical therapy. He has extensive experience working with complex spine disorders in addition to sport-related injuries. He is a lifelong learner who understands it is crucial to adapt and evolve as innovations in medicine continue to arise. Dr. Feder strives to take an integrative and innovative approach to address nutritional, sleep, and stress factors which may contribute to the nature of your musculoskeletal and spine issues. He enjoys working collaboratively with orthopedic, sports, and regenerative medicine physicians to create the best non-surgical or post-surgical outcomes for his patients. Dr. Feder’s experience ranges from working with professional athletes and business executives, all the way to high school athletes seeking to be the best in their individual sport.

Dr. Feder has had firsthand experiences of his own with prior shoulder injuries from being a baseball pitcher along with prior ACL surgery. These experiences have translated to a great sense of empathy and perspective you can only achieve from going through it yourself. From these experiences, he has a great affinity and understanding of treating the entire musculoskeletal system as whole. He has extensive experience working with spine disorders, sports injuries, and orthopedic injuries throughout the entire body. His treatment approach seeks to understand the root cause of the issue, not simply where a person is experiencing symptoms of pain.

During his free time, Dr. Feder practices what he preaches - he enjoys being outdoors, exercising, and having a recovery routine. He also enjoys traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants in Miami, and cheering on the Knights of UCF in college football.
